Other decisions seem insignificant such as scrolling through Facebook or taking a late-night snack whereas others are critical, as they are selecting a career path, nurturing friendships or completing a difficult course work. During such times, it is not sufficient to know something but to be wise. Wisdom is a virtue highly appreciated in the Bible and it is also very vital to us. The difference between knowledge and wisdom lies in the aspect of acquiring facts and using the facts in such a manner that results in good. It helps us to go in the right way that pleases the Lord. Call your phone and before you can even have a cup of coffee you are being bombarded with the 5:00 am morning routines, cold plunge videos, and guys boasting of not leaving their rooms till they reach a million bucks. The essence remains the same, you will not grind and lose, and you will not rest and fall back. It was a complete generation gorged on that story whole and named it ambition.   However, sincerely, there exist costs of grinding. We are watching people burning out at high rates. The stress is high and reports of individuals who had pursued success all they had to know that hustle had left them empty have been coming in. For some of us this commandment feels impossible. We do not understand how, we can love someone who have betrayed or wronged you. We do not understand how we can forgive ea...

We jump straight into the verses and arguments. But honestly… the introduction of a book often tells us so much about the heart behind it. This letter is deeply personal and it also call 2 peter. This letter also look like an urgency call by the older aspostle, almost like someone who knows his time is coming close and on earth is short and wants the church to stay awake. By the time this letter is written, Peter appears older, seasoned by suffering, persecution, and long years of ministry. And that changes the tone of the whole book. This introduction is not just theological. It feels pastoral. Concerned. A bit urgent even. So let’s slowly walk thro...
